You probably know this situation very well:

$ cat > Foo.java
public class Foo {
	public static void main(String []args) {
		System.out.printf("trolololo\n");
	}
}
$ javac Foo.java 
$ java Foo 
trolololo
$ vim Foo.
Foo.class  Foo.java

as it makes usually no sense to open a generated binary file, just tell zsh not to do so (add this to your ~/.zshrc):

zstyle ':completion:*:*:vim:*:all-files' ignored-patterns '*.class' '*.o'
